Whats news:  Grindr advertises itself as the premier all male geo-social network app that has surpassed 3 million global customers; 800K in the US, 30K in Los Angeles.  It is the largest and most prominent gay, bi and curious male location based service with a mobile network and GPS tool for Android, iOS and Blackberry.  Started in March of 2009, it has grown rapidly and now has subscribers in over 190 countries.   Grindr reflects a philosophy that dating apps should use photos and proximity as the primary means of getting connected.  The goal of apps like Grindr and Skout are to facilitate online social interaction and meeting people who may be close by.
