LSMFT – CitySourced goes to school

Whats news: Los Angeles based civic engagement application designer CitySourced has landed a contract with LAUSD to enable students, parents, faculty to report maintenance problems on campus. One of the biggest school districts with 700 square miles of property and 14,000 buildings, the district gets 300,000 maintenance related calls a year.

The application is tied into the school district’s Maximo asset management software. App users take a photo, the app tags the image with GPS and forwards to the Maximo system where maintenance staff can review the report. More here.
