LAVA Mobile Event – August 16, tiato, 6:30 PM

The Annual Meeting event came off pretty well – don’t you think?  So next in the series of LAVA Mobile events will be a special evening with some local mobile entrepreneurs and moderator Lori Kozlowski – Forbes Contributor.  This is your heads-up to mark your calendars.

Check back here frequently for updates and bios of the invited speakers.  As a hint – there will be a founder of an instant business networking app and a founder tuned into the siren song of Silicon Beach.  Of course we will have those fabulous snacks, a no host bar and the usual assortment of mobile business executives, technologists, founders and entrepreneurs as it is a great networking opportunity.  And maybe a surprise or two more!

All LAVA Mobile events require pre-registration.  SIG events are free for LAVA members, guests are only $35.  Parking at tiato is free after 5:00 PM with validation – enter on Colorado.

LAVA Mobile is the Strategic Interest Group focused on mobile technology, business and trends for the Los Angeles Venture Association’s members, guests and community.  LAVA Mobile is generously sponsored by E&Y and Gumiyo.

“Cloud computing, ‘big data’ analytics, mobility and social media are the major trends still driving activity in the tech sector—and this trend will continue,” said Jeff Liu, US Technology Leader, Ernst & Young Capital Advisors, LLC. “With more debt and equity deals in the last few months, traditional tech giants and newer, well-capitalized social media players are the primary buyers looking to add key businesses and expand into markets. Deals are happening faster, and there is a fair amount of PE interest in the sector.”
